Statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau show that four Colorado metro areas -- Boulder, Colorado Springs, Greeley and Fort Collins -- are the top suppliers of new residents to the Denver area. Here’s the rundown, based on estimates from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey for 2010-14:

  1. Boulder -- 9,084 new residents per year for the Denver metro area.

  3. Greeley -- 4,478 new residents per year for the Denver metro area.
  4. Fort Collins -- 4,217 new residents per year for the Denver metro area.
