If you’ve lived in the Denver, CO, metro area for a while, you’ve probably noticed that a lot of your neighbors who’ve relocated to the Mile High City are from other places in Colorado.
Statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau show that four Colorado metro areas -- Boulder, Colorado Springs, Greeley and Fort Collins -- are the top suppliers of new residents to the Denver area. Here’s the rundown, based on estimates from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey for 2010-14:
So, where do new Denver arrivals from out of state come from? We crunched the Census Bureau numbers to answer that question. In the infographic below, you’ll find the top 12 metro areas outside Colorado that contribute the most new residents to the Denver area each year.
