Last year, Forbes magazine put the Nashville, TN, metro area at No. 5 on its list of the places in the U.S. that people are flocking to. People are flocking to Nashville in such great numbers, in fact, that the availability of lots for home construction is nearing a record low. In tandem with the lot shortage, sales of new and existing homes in the area are happening at a rapid clip.
“A flourishing job market combined with low mortgage rates continues to sustain our market,” says Denise Creswell, president of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors.
